An independent spirit can quietly separate us from the people God has placed in our lives to strengthen, correct, and guide us. Through the story of Asahel in 2 Samuel 2 and other biblical passages, we see the danger of refusing wise counsel, resisting correction, rejecting accountability, and believing we can walk alone. God has not called us to live in isolation, but to serve, submit, receive correction, and walk in godly relationships. As Ecclesiastes reminds us, “Two are better than one.” This message challenges us to examine our hearts and ask: Am I allowing God to use others to help me grow?

What’s in a Name?
God reveals who He is through His names—Provider, Banner, Shepherd, Healer, Holiness, Righteousness, Presence, and Peace. Each name reminds us that we can trust Him in every season. As we overcome, He promises to write His name upon us, showing that we belong to Him. When we know His name, we know His character—and when we know His character, we can trust His promises.

A call to honor God through holiness, reverence, and worship. Our words and actions should reflect our respect for a holy God. When we honor Him, pursue holiness, and praise Him sincerely, our lives become a testimony of His goodness.
